The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider issue designed for intervention ordeals a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a sassa status check service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to permit the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
